Engagement Party

I'm hoping to get some help.....FH and I are looking to have an inexpensive E-Party. Just friends maybe for brunch or dinner. Can anyone recommend places that would be good for about 50 people and inexpensive with good food. Somewhere in the middle of the island would be great.

LOL I hope that's not unreasonable!!!

Do you want more of a restaurant or a catering hall?

I know Irish Coffee Pub is good and they have private rooms for smaller parties.

We had such a fun engagement party at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Nesconset. My mom and FMIL cooked as well as some other family members, we got wine, beer and liquor and just had an amazing time. The hall wasn't that expensive at all and we saved a lot by doing the cooking ourselves.

I am having a cocktail party at the Snapper Inn in Oakdale. It is gorgeous and right on the water. It is just a 3 hour party with passed hor derves, a few chafing dishes of food, cake/coffee and unlimited top shelf open bar. The menu is on their website. Their price is very fair and it is such a gorgeous place!
