Can anyone recommend a place to have an engagement party? We are looking at Bridgeview, but we need to keep it on a tight budget ( Under $5000). Bridgeview's numbers might be a bit high for us. We would be expecting anywhere between 100-125 people.
Thanks!

Re: Engagement Party
Maybe you can do a knights of columbus. THe ones in seaford and oceanside are really nice. They should also be affordable.

Re: Engagement Party
i did it at the hybernina hall and it was 10 dollars a person and for all drinks and the caterer was 10.95 per person. with all the favors, centerpieces, dj, food, decoration and invitations the party cost just over 3000. and you only pay for the people that show up.

Re: Engagement Party
I have to agree that a KoC is probably the best way to go. We're doing ours at my grammar school auditorium...there's no hour that it has to end, no head count. You might want to look into a church basement or something like that also, many of them rent out for cheap.

Re: Engagement Party
Honestly, we were trying to maybe send less than $50 a plate. I was going to create all the centerpieces and just do M&M's as a favor. FH wants something nice too b/c he is the last son and last child getting married from his family and I am the first. This is so Hard! lol.

Re: Engagement Party
what about HR Singletons in Bethpage? They have rooms that are big enough for a dance floor if you want to have a DJ there too. Food is good too!

Re: Engagement Party
i am no help because i did not have an e-party. maybe something at home or at a friends house would be nice. then you just have to pay for catering. and btw i am only inviting 125 people to my wedding. wow

Re: Engagement Party
I had my E-party at Caffe on the Green in Bayside. I'm sure they can work with your price range. Here is a link to my Engagement Party Review So you can see the place and see what kind of isuse I had with them. As long as you are careful with them you should have an amazing party there. The food is really really good!
