Engagement Party

im paying 24 pp for a sunday night
it's a small restaurant though

the invitations were diy and very cheap
and for favors were doing a candy bar

i wanted an e-party but couldn't afford a huge expensive one

Um, we paid about $20/pp (food and alcohol)
Then when you add extra expenses: favors, CP's, etc it came out to about $40/pp maybe more.
In total we paid $2,500, but that was including the messed up DYI CP's.
What are you looking to do? It varies, you could do a small dinner for under $1,000 or a Huge blow out for over $8,000.

We are also going to do a backyard event, so the costs should be pretty reasonable, hopefully less than 1000.

I'm having mine this weekend and its @ a PBA Hall. We're doing all the cooking and hiring a waitress and bartender. FH is a DJ so he'll make a bunch of mixed cds to dance too. All together it prob comes out to about $20pp

We did the same thing. The room we rented was only $250 and that included a bartender. No waitress though, bc it was just a cocktail party. My parents made all the food. Bought a cake and decorations. We made a playlist on my ipod and honestly it was GREAT! We bought decorations from party store/ Oriental trading (super cheap) and even went to the dollar store for a lot of stuff like serving platters and such. With alcohol (beer & wine) we could bring in soda, it was proabaly about 20-30pp

The Hibernian Hall in Babylon, My fathers a member and I used to be, and I danced there for 12 years, so I got the members discount on the hall itself, which I think only saved us $50.00.
In total the hall was $275?? I think
Premium Bar is $8.00/pp
Table Cloths- $2.00/per table

the catering was separate, and Bill hooked us up.
He's good, REALLY good. = )

Once I figure out how to upload things on here and I have time to do so I'll upload some pictures.

I had mine at my apartment.... frat party style!!! Haha we bought a ton of beer and white castle burgers and junk food and set up a flip cup/beer pong table in our dining room. It was a blast! We were drinking leftover beer for months
