Does anyone know how much engagement parties cost these days????

it really depends on what you are doing.. some girls go all out and have mini-weddings, others have bbq's in the backyard... so its really dependent on that..

We rented a private wine cellar room in NYC and treated 24 friends to a nice dinner for our engagement party. It was around $1500 for room rental, dinner, drinks and tip. This was also 1 year ago when we first got engaged.

It depends where you have it and the # of people. What are you looking for?

we wanted to do a backyard party for like 100-150 people. (and thats mostly family and very close friends) but we would need a tent because it will prob take place in august and would be too hot to not have one. and tent, caterer and drinks add up to a pretty penny. we also got prices for a bar and that was ridiculously expensive, to us anyway.
