Engagement Party!

Are any of you 2012 ladies having an Engagement party? If so, when, where, # of ppl and what theme are you having....


I'm having my engagement party on 8/21 at a Yacht Club in Hewlet and I am hoping to have 100-125. My theme for the e-party is a nautical theme.

We actually just booked our engagement party yesterday! were doing it on 8/14 at the hook restaurant in Babylon. I never heard of it before until my uncle recommended it and its wayy cute!

as for people right now were at about 65-70 ppl for the party (which is the entire restaurant!)

and I think we're going with a nautical theme since its on the water and we want to get married on the water as well.

We had ours already. January 2nd.

It was a winter wonderland theme at the White House Restaurant in Whitestone and we had 126 people.

Everything was decorated in red and silver with snoflakes and we had our bridal party dress in red so they stood out.

mine was last april.. in a small italian restaurant in brooklyn where we live.

about 75 people..no special theme except that we had gold and white balloons to match the room

Are you doing centerpieces? I'm still deciding on what to do.

we are having one this summer! We are doing it in my parents' huge backyard. It's going to be a Luau! I am so excited. We are going to decorate and have people wear hawaiian shirts... so cheesy but I love it!

We are going to play lots of fun beachy songs, and have a catering company barbeque!

We are having ours 7/24 in a catering hall that is close to home it will be in one of the smaller rooms. We are inviting 75 people.

We are not going to have a theme just coordinating colors

I'm thinking about using candle cylinder holders and putting shells in the bottom....filling it with water and then putting floating candles on top..and have 3 on each table.

Not sure how many people yet, I wanted to just do close friends and family, but then FH's mom basically asked me the date of the party in front of all of her friends so I guess they are all coming too...

We will probably have about 100 people? ahh

I am getting them from Michael's- I am getting three different sizes, and the largest one i am going to use the 40% off coupon (print out online). With the discount the 3 vases will be about $12 a table. The candles i'm buying from BBB- 3 packs at $5 each and then a $5 off coupon( =12 floating candles for $10).
