My question is do you have to give a favor at an engagement party?

We had favors at our engagement party. WE had tiny boxes that said 'Thanks for attending our engageMINT!!' Everyone thought it was cute. We did a favor table and had thank you post cards printed up with our engagement pics on them.

If you can get your Save the Dates done in time, It was kinda cute when I received this as the favor for an engagement party I went to!

I don't think it's totally necessary, but it's a nice token of your appreciation that they came out to celebrate and for the most part probably spent money on a gift for you.

For my engagement party we gave cupcakes as a favor (there are pictures in my album). They were a hit. I don't know if its necessary but they are coming to celebrate and probably give you a gift. I think something small is thoughtful and appropriate.

We had a winter wonderland theme and gave snowflake candles as our favors.

I don't think its necessary. If its gonna stress you out or become a money issue then I say skip them and don't look back

You DON'T HAVE to but we did give out Irish Luck Tokens to go along with our theme.
I agree with the other girls it's just a nice gesture.
