I have a question:
Do you have a registry for an engagement party?

We did. We started our registry a few weeks before our e-party.

we did as well...we knew ppl wld bring gifts even though they dont have to..and lots of ppl bought off the registry. we only registered for some stuff though, not EVERYTHING we need (i.e. stuff that can be stored away easily like a tea kettle lol)...and we didn't put it in the invites obvi, my mom just told those who asked

We had one...we figured we'd return what we didn't want and this way we could register for more since it would be used for the e-party and the bridal shower.

We weren't going to, but people were asking so we did end up making sure it was done prior..

We had one because fmil mentioned her side of the family gives gifts instead of cash and she didn't want us to end up with doubles or with something we didn't like/need. We took her advice and it worked out nicely.

Guests knew about the registry by word of mouth, I wouldn't recommend putting the registry on the invite.

FH and I did as well but I didn't send an announcment with the invitations. When people called to RSVP some asked if we had registered and told them yes. Its a great way to get a few things now!

I did because my family wanted to buy me by fine china and stemware...I had the registry info on my wedding website..and we put the website on the engagement party invites. We actually got a lot of things off of it!
