Engagement Party

Did any of you girls that had or are having an engagement party hire a professional photographer? Was wondering if its worth it and how much I should expect to pay?

We're having a professional photographer at our eparty. We're lucky bc my dads cousin is a photographer so he will be taking pics for us for $100 and making all the albums for cost. I thought it was def worth it. We will never have another eparty.

i had my friend take the pictures because she is AMAZING! She took 300 pictures :)

we didn't have a professional photographer. I carried my camera around all night & between my pics & everyone elses, we got a lot of good pics

We didn't. We just had fam take pics and we were able to get plenty. We also only had about 65 ppl though so depending on the size of your party it may be worth it

We didn't have a photographer and TOTALLY FORGOT to take pictures. I wanted a shot of the BP and families at minimum and we totally forgot. Luckily my sister grabbed me and the FH to go outside to take some shots, but we dont have many.

I'm not sure how much it is for the services, but it may be worth it if its not too crazy because I really regret not taking them or having one of my friends be in charge of snapping some shots!

we didnt.. my mom paid my friends dh to do it.. and i hated every single pic!!!!!!! i wish i had my own camera taking pics

My E-party is next weekend, and we are not having a professional Photographer...between our parents and friends, I am sure there will be plenty of pics taken

We aren't having one....my mom's hobby is photography and she's awesome and will probably take 500+ pictures that day. The only reason I hired a professional photographer for the wedding is because i told her she's not allowed to bring her camera!! (though I think she is and having her friend take pictures lol!)

I found a photographer who does it as a side job and quoted me $400 for 3 hours. I think it's a fair price, thoughts??
