Engagement party and registry

We are going to have our engagement party in a few months. I was wondering what the etiquette is on including info on where we are registered. Should we include where we are registered on the invitations, or should it be done by word of mouth? I have no idea what to do...thanks!

Well, the 'by the book' answer is word of mouth, but I've gotten quite a few engagement party invitations that included registry info. I guess what it comes down to is whether or not text book manners matter to you. : )

JennRenee is right. You should never include registery information with an invitation. I know most people do include it with shower info, but again according to Ms. Manners that is not proper. For an e-party I would not include the information. Not everyone gives e-presents, so in my opinion, I would rather leave it up to the individual if they want to get us a gift. People can always ask your Mom, sister or close friend where you are registered. I know that when I first got engaged my Aunts asked me where I planned to register. If someone wants to know, they usually find out on their own.
