So we booked our engagement party for 3/1 at my parents Knights of Columbus here in Brooklyn. We decided to have a classy themed party - hahaha.
Joe and I have been to over 75 concerts since we started dating two years ago so we are incorporating a concert theme into our party. Tables will be named after bands we've seen live such as: Rascal Flatts (our table since Bless the Broken Road is our song) Bon Jovi (we've seen them 4x and it was our first concert together) O.A.R. and so on. We picked all the table names already and I've already started making the placecards.
We are also planning on a chocolate brown/baby pink color scheme. A candy buffet and a ton of surprises for our guests - I cannot wait!

Great theme....FH and I love concerts too.... we spend too much going to them!!! i love the idea...maybe you could even use the ticket stubs into the decor! CONGRATS!!!! Happy planning!

Funny y ou should say that but we were just discussing a NYC themed wedding - but we are trying to stay out of Sweet 16 terroritory. We were thinking taxi cab place card holders, a Brooklyn Bridge ice sculpture, Table numbers would be pics of us in front of landmarks and bagels or pretezels as favors. We just started talking about it. We wanted a NYC theme b/c we always thought we'd get married in the city but we couldn't afford it
