Does anyone have any recommendations of where to go for an engagement party dress? Or even a good color to wear? My party is April 11th and my two best friends have banned me from wearing black my normal go to color for dresses! I would love gold or champagne because I'm not a huge fan of pastel colors but apparently those aren't popular colors.

Not sure how fancy you want but BCBG usually has a champagne color in their spring lines.

Bright cerulean blue seems to be a really popular color this year. I saw a few at Macy's and Forever 21 that were pretty cute.

Black House White Market! I got mine there on sale, it was a cream colored dress with black lace on top. SO pretty and CHEAP!! Check them out!

i just remembered how gorgeous my sis' gown for my wedding is in black.......... & the gown i wore is below in gold
as you can see im a fan of av.....i dont think her dresses look bridesmaidsy..... so if youre dressing to the nines, id suggest her line
I always find great dresses at Lord and Taylor and they always have coupons in the paper.

do you want something fancy or a bit more of a cocktail type dress? I bought my dress at OZ boutique and have bought quite a few dresses there, i love their selection.
My dress was blue and gold, the gold was lace

i randomly found mine at marshalls i would recommend trying the department stores first where theres lots of variety ....good luck

Just wanted to give everyone the update...I found a dress for my engagement party!
I ended up stopping at Pzaz in Centereach (I think) with my mom. I wouldn't normally go near that place since it's prom season but a friend at work mentioned they had some nice coctail dresses and she was right. I completely lucked out and found exactly what i was looking for and it was on CLEARANCE! It's a champagne/gold color and just dressy enough. I'm so excited.
It's still at the store since it needed a minor alteration but I will post pics soon. Thanks for your suggestions!

I got my dress at Century 21-it was Kate Moss for Topshop which originally was sold at Barney's..
Check my album if you want to see it. Our e-party was a Sunday afternoon so I really wanted a fun party dress that could be worn again..
