Engagement Party help

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone could recommend catering halls or restaurants in Nassau country or Douglaston/Bayside/Forest Hills that would be good for an engagement party. I'm not looking to spend more than $40 pp max.
Also, one of the ladies on here suggested Villa Russo's. Anyone have any experience with it? How is the food/atmosphere etc?

only if you can, their food tasting is this Wed from 7pm - 10pm so you can taste for yourself...

the mgr at Nono lounge was going to shut down the whole place for my family - cocktails (open bar for 4hrs ) and appetizers for $1k or a little less but we opt out since we want a small intimate dinner w / fam & close friends...

he was so nice and is willing to work with you... only thing you can have the place shut down on like a Sunday since he makes most of his $$ on Friday, Sat nights...

I had mine at La Parma in Williston Park, ask for Tony, he was so accommodating and flexible. The food was really good (my fiance's family is very Italian and they loved it). We pre-selected the menu and did family style so it was completely reasonable for a Saturday night dinner.

I'm having mine at donavans in bayside, we have full open bar and sit down its 46

We had ours at Gino's in Bayside. Its on 35th and Bell Blvd. across the street from Tequila Sunrise. They have 1 package that's $40 pp. The food is great.
