We are having a debate on who to invite to the engagement party... do we need to invite everyone that is invited to the wedding?? We wanted it to be a small thing but we don't want to offend people that we don't really want to invite (not in a mean way, we just want it to be really close family and friends)
Is it proper to invite everyone or can you just invite a select few?

I have a large family and fhs parents are paying for it so I just did family/bridal party and then a few close friends that weren't bridal party but I couldn't leave out.

You def do not need to invite Everyone that's invited to the wedding, its supposed to be a smaller party. We did Immediate Family and Bridal Party only. You also would not invite people to your E-Party that ultimately will not be invited to your wedding, but since my E-party was casual I let everyone bring their kids, although at the Wedding it will be Adults only.

Thank you ladies! We are definitely only going with immediate family and close friends... both our moms want to send invitations to people that are out of the country & state that obviously wouldn't come but they want them to feel like they are part of this all with being far away.
