Engagement Party HELP! I need you oppinions!!

Here's the deal. We HAVE to book an engagement party location tonight for my FSIL. We have 2 places on our plate.

1. The Bavarian Inn-Lake Ronkonkoma

2. Inn at EastWind - Wading River

The 1st one has a waterview, but kinda run down looking. THe price is right, but I heard that it's just OK. Also, we have windows and a deck right outside the room.

The 2nd place is supposedly beautiful (i've only seen internet pics) and they can accommodate us on short notice. BUT, they said the room that we would get is in the hotel on the lower lobby level. Apparently it has no windows.

WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE??? I'm torn. I would love #2, but will we feel closed in? Also, my FSIL smokes. The deck is very convenient.

I am getting married at the Inn at East Wind in the Soouthampton ballroom I thinkt hat is the room you are talking about. And the room is so huge you will not feel closed in at all. The place is so elegant. Also their are windows on the celing the whole celing is made out of glass.

Defenitly pick the East Wind if you can.
Where is she having her wedding.

P.S. you can not smoke indoors at the East Wind only outside.

She hasn't set a wedding date yet. We are only having 50-60 people at the Engagement Party so I can imagine that it's not the ballroom you mean. They said it was in the lower level of the lobby.

Her engagement party is on September 20th of this year. It's a firm date, so we have had terrible luck finding a place that's affordable.

I've never been to the East Wind before. Aren't there different buildings? They told me it was in the Hotel. Is that where the weddings are held?

The Hotel has many rooms in it including the grand ballrooms. They also have two other buildings they hold weddings in.
