engagement party ideas..

Anyone have an 'at home' engagement party? I am looking to do something low key for just family and Bridal Party at my house...to save some money and keep it casual

any suggestions? caterers to use? probably about 60 will be invited...expecting aboug 40 to show up...

We had our eparty in our backyard, we did a luau theme. It was 10000000000 degrees out, but it was a lot of fun. We rented the 'Margarita Man' machine, it was a big hit and so yummy!

We're doing ours at home in my partents backyard. We're using Fireside in East Northport. They are amazing...we use them for every party we have.

I did it at my mom's house. We only had 25 people and she is an amazing cook so she caterered it herself! It was righ after Christmas so our house was still decorated. We hired a professional photorgrapher to document it and everywhere just mingled and ate.
