Engagement Party Ideas

Hello All,

This is my very first LIW post! I am recently engaged, 5/28/2011, and I am hosting an engagement party on 8/13/2011 at home. My theme is an 'Enchanted Garden'. I am very excited for the Engagement Party and was just wondering what other brides did for their engagement party? Did you have theme? What were your favors? How many people did you invite? Cake or cupcakes? Etc.

I am planning to have 55-60 people. I already ordered tents, tables and chair. I will be putting white lights on trees and anything else that stands still. I don't know what color to choose. My invites were white. So many details, so little time.

Congrats on your engagement! You will have an amazing party. I just love your theme! I did a bbq at a park with no real theme except I had my table clothes, balloons, cake, and all the utensils and plates in my wedding colors. The cake I guess made it kind of a fairytale theme just because of the words I put on the cake.

My favors were in bags of my wedding color and i just put kisses and ring pops to signify the engagement. I had about 40 guests at mine and didn't bother with music or games. Everyone kept each other entertained with the party running itself so don't go crazy with details.
