Engagement party ideas?

Hi everyone,

My engagement party is going to be at Tony's Di Napoli next month and right now I have a few ideas going.

* I have about 6 of our engagement photos in frames to have on the table when people first walk in to get their place seating card/drop off gifts

And that's it.

Thoughts of how I can decorate? I don't want to do confetti because the restaurant was not too keen on that.

How can I add some style in decoration without being too expensive?

Just need some creativity. Should I do balloons? We are going to have about 100 people or so at the party.

Engagement party ideas? - Long Island Weddings

I did balloons as center pieces with pretty weights and I ordered some engagement ring confetti to spread on the tables. I also bought a sign that said engaged and hung it at the venue. Our favors were candies with our initials and an engagement ring printed on them. We put them in baggies and put them on everyone's plate. It wasn't fancy or expensive, but came out nice.

That sounds super cute. I wish we could do confetti but the restaurant said it's too much to clean it up which I understand. Also it's a family style dinner so lots of plates being passed around and stuff.

I don't know if we are doing favors. I'm thinking about little candy for everyone from the knot shop.

Balloons does sound like a fun idea. I might look into that.
