engagement party - ideas wanted

im having an engagement party next month and want some ideas. we are having it on a grassy field at the stable i ride my horse at. we are going to do a BBQ, play music on a stereo, possibly have a volleyball net. we will have a canopy set up so they will be shelter from the sun (we are having it in a house in case of rain).

ive actually never been to an engagement party and want to know if there are any interesting ideas out there.....

what kind of ideas are you looking for? it sounds like you have things pretty well planned!

any other fun activities? things that have worked for other parties? ways to keep the family entertained?
