Engagement Party Invite Help

Ok... So I think we finally decided that we are going to have an engagement Party...

But a few (2-3) people have already given us gifts... b/c everyone who asked my mother was told that we were planning an engagement party... so they were waiting to give us gifts...

My Question... What should I write on there Invites (the people that already gave us gifts)... Letting them know that we appreciated there gifts that they already gave and to come and have fun at the party... But obviously not to bring another gift...

Am I making sense?

Hi, we had that happen w/ one of my aunts & my mom said how we hope to see her and how much we appreciate her gift.

I'd write something like, we truly appreciate your engagement gift; you're presence would really mean a lot to us--something like that.

i dont think anything needs to be said, presents arent mandatory at engagement parties, just dont send a registry card with your invites!
