Debating on whether to include the cards from BBB with our engagement party invitiations or if we should hold off and let people ask if we registered --- in hope that those who don't ask will give us money??

Re: Engagement Party Invites Poll
I would just let the parents know. Guests seem to ask the mothers of the bride/groom where they should go to pick out gifts.

Re: Engagement Party Invites Poll
We had a fairy large e-party of about 90 people. I registered for only a few china Lenox & Waterford gifts (like frames, dishes, and vases we wanted). My parents were the RSVP for the party so if anyone wanted to know if we were registered they just asked my mom. An extremely large majority of our guests ended up giving us money, but we did get several gifts from our registry (and even a handful of non-registry too ones, but that always happens).
Like someone else said, it is poor etiquette to put the inserts in your e-party or wedding invites. They are only supposed to go in your shower invites.

Re: Engagement Party Invites Poll
I think spread the word by word of mouth, but don't include the card with the invite. I did not register for my e-party because I am saving those items for my bridal shower. Also, FH and I really need the money!!

Re: Engagement Party Invites Poll
I put our wedding wedsite on the invites and on the website is a link to our registries. A lot of people bought us things off the registry.

Re: Engagement Party Invites Poll
Do NOT include. This is only proper for showers. Make sure the moms and BP know and I'm sure it will spread by WOM.

Re: Engagement Party Invites Poll
I included where I was registered and got alot of awesome gifts, so when FH and I move in together before the wedding we are already started :)

Re: Engagement Party Invites Poll
We did not include our registry in the invites but when people called to RSVP my mom said a lot of people asked if we were registered. We received a lot of gifts off our registry plus money at our e-party. Most of the items on your registry you will receive at your shower.

Re: Engagement Party Invites Poll
The only issue with NOT including the registry is that people are going to buy you presents regardless and you'll end up getting ALOT of stuff that is not your style, you don't need or just don't want.....if you include the registry at least you get the things that you actually want or need

Re: Engagement Party Invites Poll
you never send out those registry cards with e-party invites! only with bridal shower invites or let your parents do the talking for you

Re: Engagement Party Invites Poll
Another idea is to include a link to your wedding website which can have a prominent link to your registries.
I think most people will look for your registries online or ask around. When I get engaged I didn't have a party but a lot of people asked my mom and/or just went to Fortunoff and bough me stuff from the registry. Other people just bought what they wanted regardless, and others gave cash.,
