Engagement party locations in Nassau

My mom wants to throw us an engagment party on a Saturday afternoon in October. I am looking for a restaurant or bar with a private room for around 75 people in Nassau County. Nothing fancy, maybe a buffet lunch or something. We are looking for something low key, not going to have a dj or anything. Also looking for somewhere that is relatively inexpensive. Any suggestions?

I have known some people who have had engagement parties @ Verdi's in Westbury.

They put on a nice spread and the food is good.

I've heard this too. Also FH went to a wedding there and he said it was really nice.
There's also Anton's I'm not a 100% sure on the spelling, it might be Antun's but it's in Hicksville right on Old Country Road. I've been to dinner there a few times and they have a seperate room and the food is good.
There's also Cafe Tessarosa in Syosset on Jericho Tpke. FH and I went there on our anniversary for dinner and his uncle had a b-day party there. The food is really good, the menu to choose from is really big, and the seperate room is a decent size for about 20-30 people.

Try Novita Wine bar - trattoria in Garden City! I just had my shower there on Saturday and it was awesome! There were about 70 people and it was buffet and we
still had plenty of room. The food was great!
It is on Franklin Avenue right next to Waterzooi. If you are familiar with Victory it is in the same establishment. The owners just redid it.

We had our E-party at Pompei in West Hempstead. We had 75 people and all of our guests loved the food and the place. It was like a mini wedding. Jay the BM was great and the prices were resonable. Here's the website:

I just went to an AWESOME engagment party at singletons I think in Bethpage. They have 3 nice private rooms and an outside patio. Very good food

i agree-- we looked there and liked it, felt it was too far for our guests (eastern LI) but they were great-- i really liked the food (we had them cater twice for us)... also, try cool fish in syosset (they had great packages).

Penchenzos on Jericho Turnpike. It is a nice Italian restaurant with a private room. they have really good party packages there.

I had responded to the one on the 07' board, I don't know if you saw it but the Milleridge has a ton of rooms. You should check them out.
