engagement party program

i'm having an engagement party in two weeks and soo procrastinated on planning. i've never been to one and my family has the hall from 8pm-2am. aside from the toast from my dad, dancing, and eating, i have nooo idea what to do for the whole night... program-wise. it's a semi-formal event. how do i have a good time and keep my guests entertained? any suggestions ladies?? pleeease?

you and FH get to be annonced in....you and him get to have a dance....you can do a cake cutting....your father gives a toast...his father can give a toast....

and you just enjoy yourself

the engagement parrty is more relaxed then a wedding so you just have fun

our e-party is in nov. we are planning on having a few toasts, dancing, eating, we will say a few words to each other then thank our guests.

Ours is today...I have to get ready...but we are doing it very casual. I think you should have a good time and not have too much going on. Just mingle with your guests and have fun!

Do you have a dj? They can help you with the timeline.

the only real 'event' @ our e-party was a toast from the MOH & BM. most of night night was just dancing and mingling. we wanted to 2 sides of the family to have a chance to get to know each other.

ETA: I just read the top. Sorry about the useless advice, lol.
