Engagement Party ques

Has anyone had place cards or table numbers at their engagement parties??

I like the idea but also don't want to make myself crazy bc I would be doing them myself. Approx 100 people.

Is this possible?

Yes! I made mine. I took a computer I image of our invitation and cleared out all the words and used it as my place cards. Did it all on the computer so I didn't have to hand write them. You also have to figure a good majority of your guests are most likely couples so you don't necessarily have to do 100 place cards. I can help you clear your invite image it you have.

I didn't make table numbers but put one of our E-Pics on every table with a votive candle infront of it

I did make place cards and table numbers. The place cards toke a little time because I printed them and then stamped each one with a snowflake but they were cute and totally worth it in my opinion. The table numbers I just bought black frames, got different pictures through out the years of us dating and got them printed in 8x10 and then bought numbers from Michaels and spread glue on them and dipped them in light blue glitter which I hot glued onto the frame. It was really simple and the glittered numbers matched the color scheme really well.

It is absolutely possible for you to do it. If you are worried, play around with it first before your start doing the entire thing. But I think its relatively easy if you get the sheets of place cards from Michaels.

I definitely think you need place cards because you have a lot of people coming. I can't imagine 100 people looking for a place to sit and saving seats. I just printed the names with a thin sharpie on the cards. It really didn't take long. Just group your guests according to friends and family.

We did..

The restaurant provided the numbers so all we had to do was print up the place cards.

I ordered the place cards and table numbers for our engagement party and never ended up using them. We had 135 people at our engagement party and did not do assigned seating. Everyone told me not to do, to wait until the wedding day to make myself crazy with that stuff. I asked the Banquet Managaer what she thought and she told me not to do assigned seating. She did suggest doing a Reserved table though, and just letting your 'VIP' people know to sit there. Like I said we had about 135 people, and everyone found a place to sit with no problem. Everything worked out just fine!! Good luck!!

I wish I would've done place cards and table numbers and I only had about 65 people! It would have saved some headache!

I had about 85 guests at my eparty and I didn't even think of using place cards... I'm kind of glad I didn't though. Everyone mingled and got to meet eachother.

But if you are planning on it, Michael's have them as DIY and I think you just run them through the printer...
