ok, i dont know if it too late to have an engagement party...i got enagaged in may 2007. Can you girls tell me when you having yours and how many month after..is acceptable?
Well I am not sure there is a time line. You could always still have one but I wouldnt wait toooo long. I went to a friend engagement party a year after they got engaged bc they planned to get married 2 years later.
I got engaged July 2nd and our e-party was Aug 11th....I think you can have the e-party anytime as long as its not like within a month or two of your shower and wedding.
i read somewhere that you should have engagement party 3-4 months after getting engaged provided your wedding is a year or more away.

I am having mine in March and we got engaged in September 07' so we waited 6 months but my wedding was 2 years away. At the time of the engagement party my wedding will be 1 1/2 years away.
Etiquette wise- your supposed to have it a year or more before your wedding. I am getting close so I don't think I am going to have one. We'll see.
We got engaged in Dec. and our e-party is in March. As long as it is a year away you are fine.
FH proposed to me on August 24th and I'm not having my eparty until March 22nd... long time but think how far away we are from the wedding... I think anywhere before the year mark is safe.
i got engaged the end of dec, and we're having the eparty the end of june...cause its outdoors and we want warmer weather
We got engaged in late August and we're not having our e-party until this July.
we got engaged the end of october, and our engagement party isnt until june 14th. we wanted to do it outside and needed nice weather for that, and may is a crazy month for my family so june worked out for us.

im having mine on march 2nd...we got engaged on june 1st..9 months after...couldnt have it earlier cuz everythings been kinda crazy so far .....
we had ours 2 months later, but when i called my cousin about the invite, she said, 'wow, you guys threw this together fast.' so i think you should still be okay.
I think you have plenty of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's over a year away til your wedding date.. i say you have time!
