Engagement party Question

Engagement party Question

So my parent's are throwing us an engagement party. My mom wants to put my registry cards in the invites but I was pretty sure that you only send registry cards out for the shower. What is your take on registry cards sent on for an engagement party? Thanks!

Engagement party Question

For our engagement party we did not put registry cards in our invites, but a few of my friends I know did. It is up to you. Most people heard where we were registered by word of mouth. It is not expected for guests to bring a gift anyway. They can if they want to. Have fun!

I toyed with this idea too for our party but decided not to. We got 16 gifts off our registry just from word of mouth or people automatically assuming that we were registered at BBB

We posted our wedding website via FB which has links to our registries and people purchased us gifts for our engagement party but we did NOT put the registries on our invites.

I didn't register for my engagement party but I think you should do what you want.

I agree with this! For our engagement party we did register but didn't but it on the invite. People will ask you or your parents if you have a registry. Also, you will get more cash if you don't put in on.

This! The real etiquette of an engagement partys is guests do NOT bring gifts, but in NY its customary to bring gifts or give money. I would not include them

I have to say I agree when people kept asking me if we registered I was shocked! we did because so many ppl asked but I have to tell you we dont expect anything! but things have been bought off our registry. I just felt bad bc you ask for gifts at bridal shower than wedding its alot thats just my personal opinion
