Engagement Party Question - Please help

We are having a family only backyard engagement party. Do we have to give favors? I hadn't thought of this and the party is in two weeks!!!

We gave out personalized M&M's in tulle bags for our e-party. I've been to some that give out candles (usually Yankee Candle votives in the scent Wedding Day or French Vanilla). Hope this helps!

You definitely don't have to....We did just b/c I wanted to give something else with the Save the Date Magnets...so we had our local bakery make heart cookies with pink icing and gave those with them...nothing too fancy!! It's totally up to you!! HTH

i had mine last weekend - same thing a backyard bbq (well it was supposed to be outside except for the torrential downpour )
anyway we didnt give favors. we didnt need to. people were in and out the whole time and moved around from place to place, so even if we made them chances are only half the guests wouldve ended up with them anyway.

Ours is in less than two weeks-we are not giving any favors. We don't think it's necessary at all. For the wedding yes-E party-no.

we bought kisses and minature candy and bought personalize labels and wrapped them in tulle.

I had a backyard party and I gave out favors. Everyone loved them, they were little candle jars that smelled like wedding cake from AC Moore! They were only $1.00, totally worth it!!!!

I gave the save the date magnets as favors... i gave away the centerpieces...I also made small tulle bags of jordan almonds!

We did glass coasters but originally we werent gonna do anything... just wrapped Jordan almonds... since that is tradition. but technically u dont hace to do anything

You don't have to it's totally up to the 2 of you. We gave out CD's with some of our fav. love songs including our parents wedding songs and the song we are having. The covers were the STD's.

We are having the same thing this weekend. I didn't start getting stuff for the favors untilt he last minute (last week - thursday). We are doing 'gift bags' for each family/couple with cookie cutters, save the date magnets, small bag of coffee and silver coffee scoop. I was able to order everything from Wrap With Us . They were great! I told them I needed it in a rush and they told me Thursday that they could have it ready by Friday as long as they had it in stock. They called me two hours later to tell me that the order was ready so I went to the warehouse to pick it up instead of them shipping it. They are located in Syosset. I would recommend them!

I made favors for my party and completely forgot to give them. I wouldn't worry about it unless you have the time, i am sure no one will even notice

You certainly don't have to but a little something is nice. My cousin made chocolate heart lollipops for everyone to take which was really nice of her. She even ordered the personalized ribbons to wrap around them.

We had our backyard engagement party last weekend and we wrapped kisses (silver and purple) in bags and attached a card that said 'Hugs and Kisses from the Soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs.' It was easy and they came out really nice. Hope this helps.
