Engagement Party Question - Speeches?!

Our engagement party is coming up this Sunday (yipeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!), and it occurred to me I'm not sure of the etiquette on speeches!!!

Who's supposed to make one?

FH's best friend who is marrying us made a speech! I was so happy he did.. he said such a beautiful speech.

FH Best-man made a speach at our e-party. Nothing big just a few nice words.

My dad did a little toast and then one of the best men spoke and then my matron of honor- very short though and sweet- everyone was crying.

My dad made a speech. Nothing big. Then he invited my FHs parents up to kind of 'Join' the families and FHs dad said a few words. It was sweet.

well with us , fh did the speech . My parents gave us the party & he thanked them & the bp as well.. The parents are supp to say something at the wedding , i thought .

u can have anyone say a speech, we actually had my dad, his dad, my stepdad, the best man and maid of honor, they all wanted to say something. It was so nice.

FBIL ( the BM) made a small speech it was very cute. . .

afterwards i regretted that we didnt make one to thank everyone . . . but people were leaving at all different points so i didnt think of it until it was too late!
