Hello all! My engagement party is this weekend. I've been more stressed out about this than the wedding!!! any advice or words of wisdom?!
We rented a small place for 4 hours and i'm making cds for background music, and ideas how to fill th e rest of the time??!?!
THe last thing iwant is to get bored!!!

Im sure no one will be bored, don't worry things will go smoothly. I had my engagement party last Oct. We had a great time. I was a little nervous too. We had a dj and when it came time for our first dance I felt like and idiote b/c I didn't even know how to slow dance, but somehow I learned quickley enough watching my friends and their guests Will you be having courses for the meal? Are you having open bar? I think be will have a good time. The music will be fun too. Try playing some real up beat music.

We're having it buffet style because i wanted people up and about, and we wanted to keep it casual it's also in the afternoon so we'll have access to the patio. Maybe it's just butterflies i'm having?!?!?!
My music choices are danceable and mostly cute love songs (adam sandler... ) any other suggestions?
My dad is saying a little speech... and my FI...

A buffet will be a good idea it will give people a chance to get up and mingle. You'll be fine don't worry, you will have a great time. God my engagement party went by so fast it felt like it was a hour, but it was 5 hours. We had ours in the day too.

Good just get enough sleep. When I don't get enough I feel like sh$t the next day, the the last thing you want. My stomach is sooo iffy so I couldn't eat a thing before my party and i just tasted everything at mine otherwise if I stuffed my self lol I wanted to enjoy myself so I ate light.
