Engagement Party Sites

Hi Girls
I just started using this site and i'm sure its going to help me a lot.

I'm trying to find a place to have out engagement party, can you guys tell me where you had yours so I can get ideas??
I'm just not sure if its easier to have it at a hall and then bring everything in or have the catering at the place... if you understand what I mean.

TIA

hi welcome to the boards

We had our e- party at brennans irish pub it was served brunch style all we brought was the Centerpieces

I think it is easier to go somewhere where they make the food also...
What areas are you looking into nassau? suffolk? city?

Welcome and Congrats!

We are having our at Verdi's of Westbury on a Saturday night. It was easier for me to just have it at a hall that has everything then to try and plan this all myself and get it together.

Wherever you have it I'm sure it will be perfect! Good luck!

We're doing the e-party in my backyard and hiring a professional bar-b-qer... I just like the idea of something casual- I also live on 2 acres with a lake... so we have to use the property for something! I'm a huge fan of the Irish Coffee Pub in E. Islip- I'm hoping to have the Rehearsal dinner there - where ever you chose I'm sure it will be wonderful!

my fmil and ffil are throwing our engagement party. they have a beautiful backyard so were having a casual party just everyone hanging out and bbq. i didnt really want any huge formal engagement party myself, so this was perfect for me.

I thought about having my e-party there but changed my mind. We had our family one at Hybernian Hall in babylon and had it cater by Pizziola in North Babylon (my fav restaruant). We had our friends one at Shandon Court in East Islip....I highly recomend this place they are excellent!!!!

We're having ours at a VFW Hall - I like the idea of a semi casual party but I also like not having to clean up!
