Re: engagement party vent

Oh boy. This sounds like something my FMIL would impose on me the day of the wedding 'you think you can have a limo pick up so & so cause they don't have a way to get there?'

I really feel that if people want to come they should have their means of getting there. Maybe your in-laws should pick them up if they insist on their being there.

I honestly wouldn't feel obligated to pick anyone up.. especially if it's out of my way. But if it's on the way I don't see much of a big deal unless like you say you don't feel comfortable about it.

thats a gutsy favor to ask they day of your engagement party. does she not realize that you will have a million other things to take care of?

The biggest issue is that most people are carpooling b/c they think I live in another state (Shirley), so most wont even have room in their car. I think they should take the train or the bus. I must sound like such a witch. : )

No you don't sound like a witch
I mean if people can't get there then they can't come. You shouldn't have to be responsible for how everyone is getting there. I'm sure you got tons to take care of before hand and why should you be put out because they can't take a taxi or find someone else.

My aunt lives out in Shirley so I know the trip But I mean it's not like you're in another state! I think it takes me an hour to get to Shirely without traffic from where I live and I live near Elmont.
