Can anyone recommend a nice/elegant venue in New York for an engagement party for 35-50 people? I am at a loss! I tried The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers but they don't call me back.

tavern on the green..they have very reasonable prices in comparison to other city places.

How about the Boathouse in Central Park is nice too.
