I want to have an engagement party but I was previously engaged in 2004 and had an engagement party but a few months later we broke up so I dont know if I should have one cause I already had one even though it was a long time ago with a different guy. I was thinking just a bbq party in the backyard with a dj.

I asked FH if he wanted one and he said what that? LOL Then he said how much is it going to cost us and if you want to have one we can. Unfortunately his family does not care to be part of our lives so it would just be my family and friends.
I wanted to do one but doubt we will due to the money we'd be spending. I'll probably do a small backyard thing, nothing crazy - just FH & me cooking/baking.
