Engagement Photo Locations

So my fiance and I signed our contract for the photographer last night!

I would like to take our engagement potraits outisde sometime in the middle of October. I was planning on using those photos for our save-the-dates.

I was thinking of a park and then someplace different for some variety. The photographer even stated we could do a oulfit change if we would like.

Any suggestions?

I would totally take advantage of all of the pumpkin patches! You can go to one that has lots of things- like candy apple stands, hay ride, etc. and use all of the different backgrounds.

we're doing ours at sands point preserve - it has a forest-y feel plus there's also a beach for a change of scenery

peconic herb farm. its gorgeous. there are a lot of different gardens, a greenhouse, barns and it's on the water.

Exactly! Some of them have like the old fashion pop corn makers..I can see tossing popcorn in eachother's mouths or feeding eachother a candy apple or feeding the animals, running through the pumpkins, kissing on the hay ride...ok now i want to do this lol

I love the idea of going to a farm and doing some photos like that.! Those would be great!!! Plus this time of year is my favorite. All the fall colors and the upcoming holidays.

A special place for my fiance and I would have to be NYC. We met in Times Square during Fleet Week (he was a marine ;) ) . I actually have a friend thats a photographer in the city who offered to take photos of us in Times Square. If I wanted to use the photographer I booked for the wedding they would have charged us another $250 for the travel.
