Engagement Photo Props?
We're having engagement photos taken next week and have our outfits, but not really any props! We are doing some red, white, and blue photos so I bought little flags for us. I don't know what else to get. It's obviously too late to order anything from etsy, but I could make or pick something up from a store. Any ideas? I am so indecisive and have mixed feelings about props. Sometimes I think they're cute, but when I take a step back and think about them, I start to think they're really unnecessary and overdone(no offense to anyone who did use them!). My photographer suggested maybe getting a blanket that goes with our outfits for us to sit on, so I may look into that. Anyone have any suggestions or pointers on props? Will we regret not having any? Thanks to Pinterest, I feel like I NEED them, even though I don't want them!

Engagement Photo Props?
We did our engagement shoot last week with no props. Just our personal preference. We wanted natural, everyday pictures. I have seen people get the '&' signs from Michaels, Joann's etc and have them in pictures. Or I have seen balloons. Those would be easy things to pick up at the stores.

We bought a 7X10 chalkboard from Michaels yesterday and plan to write cute sayings on it and put it around our dog's neck. You could do something like that.. quick and cheap. They also had big letters and the '&' signs there so you could do something cute with that.

I didn't want to spend a ton on them, so we just went with little things because let's be honest.. what am I using these pics for? Facebook and a save the date that will have MAX 3 pics on it. I think they can be cute but not absolutely necessary.

Thanks, I don't think I'll get them then. I'm already spending more money than I'd like on outfits, hair, makeup, etc. I think it'll be nice just to have some good quality pictures without the distraction of props!

So true, haha. Pretty sure the main reason I had to get videography was for the 3 minute Facebook video too! I already designed my STD and I only need one photo for it. So Facebook and our website will be their only use, unless we display a few at the wedding.

That's true. We plan to use ours for our guest book too so there's a little more use we'll get out of them. But like we're putting so much effort into making sure the dog has a bath, and has a new collar and every little detail... mostly for Facebook! #firstworldproblems

I got a wood heart from michaels and a can of chalk spray paint and made it into a chalkboard myself. Used coupons on both items and cost less than $10. We used it to write our wedding date

We went to Michael's and bought our initials in wood letters and I bought some construction paper with some cute sayings. Have a couple in our engagement album if you want to see.Welcome New Vendors
