Hey ladies, I am hoping you all can help me. I am taking my engagement photos tomorrow and I was wondering if after I was suppose to tip the photographer? I heard different things. People are saying yes while others are saying no because I am paying enough already. What do you think? If so, how much would be appropriate?

I just scheduled mine for June. FH and I were wondering this too and asked his parents. His parents thought it wasn't necessary considering the amount that we're paying them already. We are taking them at the Planting Fields and they charge an entrance fee so we will probably just end up paying for that.

I'm going to Old Westbury Gardens which also has a fee but I feel strange not giving him some kind of tip after. hmm

Update: while asking around my friend told me she didn't tip at the time of the photo shoot because she wanted to see how the pictures came out. Then sent him a thank you card with our save the date and $50. I think that is what I want to do!

We did NOT tip. It wasn't mandatory or something I had found during research. We are paying a good amount of money to them so I didn't feel it was necessary either.

I think I'm just going to tip $20 as a thank you for driving out to Jones Beach for us

Our photographer was amazing, and we got there almost an hour late because it was the day of that shooting on the Grand Central. We tipped $100.

We tipped $50. We had small bills and tipped our higher amount. We had an awesome time with our photographer and service was great.

Our photographer met us in Central Park and I said I would pay for his train ticket. I gave him $60 to cover the ticket and a little extra as a tip.
