Engagement photos
I need some engagement shots but don't really want to hire a photographer yet, for the wedding itself. Who has some good tips on good photography near nyc area?I'm into seeing the photographers possibly later for my wedding but my brother seems to think he can hook me up as he is friends with a few artists types that may cover my actual wedding at a good rate. I found a guy in NYC who claims to shoot no cost engagement shots digitally just for reviewing his portfolios? Any one had any experience with digital and prinitng?
Any way , if any one has seen good PORTRAITS SHOOTERS LET ME KNOW. I need the shots quick.

Re: Engagement photos
I realize you want to save money but please do not use any photographer who doesn't make his living doing weddings. A friend 'hired' one her her husbands artist/photographer friends to shoot their wedding and he called in sick!!! Now she is going to hire a photograhper to do reshoots but its not even close to the real thing. Its just not worth the risk.Sorry for the lecture...i just had to warn you.
But for the engagement photos, try out your brothers friends.

Re: Engagement photos
I was the one who used Sears, (thanks Jennbaby for the compliment). You can see my pic if you search ''My Engagemnt pic!!!''. I liked them and they were very inexpensive. I'm already spending alot for my photgrapher, i'm not about to spend an arm and a leg for engagement pics. If it's really high quality that you are looking for though, stick with a professional. They were not that important to me so It didn't matter much.

ShammaI have seen a few of your photos, and you both look great. I really like the angles the photograhpher took too. I'm calling them in the morning.

Re: Engagement photos
It is never to early to start looking for a photographer. I already bookd my photographer and I am not getting married until Sept. 2004. As part of our package, he gave us a free engagement shoot. He took 4 pictures and is giving us a free 8X10.
