My boyfriend and I are getting engaged this year, and I am assuming before August. I'd like to shop around for some areas that we can take photos in and if anyone knows any good, reasonable photographers - that would be great!!

im using golden moments for both my photo & video.. they are absolutely amazing and very very creative with their work...a few of my friends had used them also... i did my engagement shoot at DUMBO. but you could also try the meat packing industry or even old westbury gardens has nice sections. good luck.

not sure if you are going to do them when you get engaged or after, but most places include them in the photo packages when you book your wedding...so you may want to consider waiting.

Well, FH uncle is a photographer and has offered us his services as a wedding gift. I felt bad to ask him to do our engagement photos, however my FMIL asked him for me since she knew I was shopping around and he said 'of course'! We would just have to pay for the printing which is about $50! So I was happy about that. Saves us $$$

my cousin had her engagment photos taken in central park which made me mad cause she knew i wanted to do mine there! lol and i have a friend who took theirs at the vanderbuilt which came out amazing but i forgot who the photographer was
