Engagement Photos

We are doing our engagement photos tomorrow .....are we supposed to tip the photographer? And if yes, when? Right after the shoot or once we get the pics? Thanks!

I just had mine 2 weeks ago and didn't tip my photogrspher ..if he is the business owner like mine is you are not required to tip...I will tip him on the wedding day ..

Jeeze louize.. There's so many things to remember! I've heard you're supposed to tip, but our photog is the business owner so I don't know if we will.. I'll have to discuss with FH. My dad says no lol

We tipped him $60 after the shoot , but a coworker of mine said otherwise since he was the owner. He didn't expect it but we got our pics sooner than the 6 wk time frame, and he did a great job editing them. You could also tip once you receive them too. Its your call. Most photographers in my opinion don't expect them, judging from the surprised look our photog gave us, but I feel they def appreciate it and remember the gesture.

I tipped $50. When it's the owner I still to and if they refuse it (which they should) I don't fight them on it.

I tipped $40 or $50. He's the owner but he was much fun and we just loved him!

I'm a firm believer that if a service is provided... a tip should be given regardless if they're the owner or not.
