Hey everyone! I'm very new to website and very new to being engaged lol he just popped the question yesterday and I am so excited that of course I have already started planning like a mad woman lol
I've been looking into engagement photographers and was wondering if anyone has gotten theirs done yet, how much you paid (if you don't mind disclosing this of course), and if you have anyone you can recommend. Thanks!!

We used lighthouse photography... I'm not sure if they'd do desperate engagement shoots, ours was part of our wedding package. The cost of the engagement shoot was $500. Definitely give them a call. There are a few pics in my album! Congrats, welcome and good luck with the planning!!!

Congrats!! Such a wonderful feeling We did our engagement shoot with Complete Wedding Packages. It was $200. We did the photoshoot first & we loved them so we decided to book them for our wedding. Pics in my album

Thanks ladies! Your pictures are gorgeous! That is so helpful. A lot of people were telling me most people book their engagement photos and wedding photos with the same company because it gives you a chance to see if you like the photographer or not, and often it is helpful as far as cost is concerned as well. Really thinking I might do this now. Congrats to you ladies as well! And thanks for the welcome :)

Welcome and congrats!! We booked with Spelman Studios in Sayville. The package comes with an engagement session so we will be doing them in April (which is the first time back to NY since our engagement).

Congrats!! Were us of cassarino studios and the engagement shoot is included, also in our package they print our save the dates and thank you cards! Def look into them, they're awesome. We are waiting to do our shoot until spring just because of person scheduling conflicts but their super flexible.

Such awesome responses and suggestions, thanks so much ladies!! Yea, the common thing to do seems to be to book with the company that's doing your wedding photos and video, so I'll probably follow suit and do that. And Brittney, I just noticed our weddings are a day apart! Ours is November 4, 2016! :)

And Emmy, my older sisters wedding was at Jericho Terrace and it was absolutely stunning! You will definitely be thrilled with your wedding day! Her bridal attendant was amazing as well, helped her from the very beginning to the very end.
