Engagement photos - Hecksher state park or Central Park?

My FI and I are trying to decide where to get our engagement photos taken. I'm not a big fan of going to the city, but I know there are SO many places in Central Park that are perfect for photos. On the other hand, Hecksher Park is closer to us, and it also has the plus of a beach setting which FI and I both really like. Has anyone gotten pictures taken at either of these places? What did you like or dislike about it? Or does anyone have another similar place (park, beach, outdoor space) they can recommend for photos? We're looking to take our pics sometime in May. Thanks!

This! Hecksher state park is always closing areas because of tic problems they have year after year. Sunken Meadow you have the board walk and beach and then theres also trails that you can still see the water in the backdrop. The bayard cutting arboretum is also nice as well.

Central Park is a common one for Manhattan..I almost did our shoot there but changed my mind because I wanted different. Also look into The Highline Park in Manhattan. We did our e-photos there. Some photos are in my album.

I did Central Park and I loved it!!

There are many places in CP especially because it's getting warmer... We did ours in February in 9 degrees!!!

I did Central Park and was extremely pleased. Its a one day affair for a one time photo session, it is worth the trek.

we did ours out in Montauk! If you're not a fan of trekking into the city... Dont do it. lol. I hate the trekking into the city too so if there is ONE mishap... I'm annoyed all day. You don't want to be annoying in your e-pics.

I would definitely suggest checking out Sunken Meadow or Northport Harbor.
