Engagement Photos- Need some ideas

Engagement Photos- Need some ideas

I finally booked my engagement shoot for mid August. I know I want to do photos in the city, but I have no clue what to wear and how to do my hair. I don't want the typical 'engagement photos.'

Does anybody have any creative ideas for outfits /places?

Im assuming you're talking about Manhattan when you mean the city. Lots of places you can use in the city

Times Square
On top of the TKTS Booth
Out in front of the NYPD Police Station in Times Square
Any subway entrance or even down in the subway
Chelsea Piers
Brooklyn Bridge
Central Park
Any of the museums on 5th ave
Hot dog street vendor
The Love Sign

Take a day off one day and go into the city and walk around you'll be amazed at some of the things and places you may find that you wanna take pictures with.

We did ours at the South Street Seaport so we were able to get Seaport and Brooklyn Bridge pics, and also in front of the building we used to live in - 200 Water Street which has a really cool clock on the face of the building

We did our photos in Brooklyn in Dumbo and got the waterfront, cityline, park and graffitti backdrops ;)

My photographer suggested going to the beach and doing shots on the beach, in the beach grass and when the sun starts to set have a bonfire, roast marshmallows and do a whole blanket thing....I love the idea, but I am torn because I love the city too.
