So I'm feeling like I am behind on this one...I am seeing some girls with wedding dates close to mine posting their e pics...Are you guys using them for save the dates or something like that? I wasnt planning on doing them until much closer to the wedding...actually now that I thnk about it...what do you use them for...?

yes i plan on using them for std's so im doing my e-pics june 13th, 2007

but also i want to do pics in the spring/summer, and i cant wait until next year bc well i get married middle of may. Thats something to consider, what type of pics you want and what season, depending on what you want you cant wait until close to your wedding

ALso i didnt want to do it too close to the wedding, ill have alot of other things to do...even now i had to wait and see what day i can do them, then had to reschedule it and now waiting to do them.

Good call on the timing...don't know where I want to take them yet, but good to keep in mind. I feel like most people do the beach or in the park near trees and foliage...gotta try to think of something else that looks good but its original...decisions ...decisions... thanks girls

My wedding is in a little over 4 months and Im not taking mine till June 6th. (provided the weather is nice) You can take them closer to the wedding if thats what you want to do but a lot of girls like to do them for their save the dates which is why they take them earlier. But if youre not planning on using them for anything in particular...you can wait like we did. Its really just up to your prefrence.

alot of people dont use them for std's and still take them...they like to just have them ya know. I would've done it regardless but its all personal preference. Alot of people also use them at the wedding

that's what i really want - some good prof pics of us to have at the wedding. all we have are silly random shots of us... plus it's a good practice run for day of... a good way to become acquainted w/ your photographer and vice versa.

ahhh yes thats actually one very important reason...to become more acquainted with your photographer and getting to work with them beforehand, great point

Hmmm... original.... Well, some ppl like to do them in the city if that's more your style.... And I just thought of something.... I would love to have like a carnival setting (I've just always loved carnivals since I was a kid - they bring out the kid in me)... maybe a nice boardwalk in the background too.... I think that would be diff and fun... I wonder how one would go about doing that... I mean getting a carnival setting for a private e-shoot.. without a million ppl walking around... who would you call to set it up? lol... the beach is also a pretty backdrop for pics
