I've been seeing a few posts (and some really beautiful pictures) of E-pics, but I'm a little confused.
ARe these pics you take for your own enjoyment of your engagement or pics that you take FOR your e-party?

It depends on your photography package, if its included, I suggest you take them because that way, you will get to know what the photographer wants from you on the day of your wedding. I am soooo taking them. Many people put their epics as a guest signing board or even display them in a frame at the entrance of the reception room.

We are using them for our enjoyment...we are taking them next year in a pumpkin patch...but I do know that some photogs offer e-pics...like they take pictures at your engagement party.

Ahhh okay.
Thing is, I'm not sure if we are getting married here or in Greece so I haven't really picked a photographer yet, but I would really love to have pictures taken of us before our e-party. I think I will look into packages sometime this weekend and decide.

I never really thought about why we are taking e-pics, but I guess I feel like its tradition or something. We won't have them in time for the e-party, but it will be nice I guess to have formal pictures of us. We live in Hoboken, right on the water and it is our first apartment together, so I guess it will be good to have pictures taken there as a memory. I guess I answered my own question. It is also apart of my photography package. I am sure we will display one picture at the wedding & rehearsal dinner.

it has nothing to do with your e-party, you can take them anytime, we took ours months after our e-party...like the other girls mentioned it usually comes in a package when you book your photographer BUT if you do get married in greece but want to take e-pics here you can hire a photographer just for the e-pics. Usually they're free bc they're included with your package but in this situation obviously you would have to pay for e-pics. Some ppl display the pics at their wedding, some use them for their save the dates, frame them and put them in your home...another reason is that you get to work with your photographer before the wedding and learn more about posing and also how your photographer works.
There are many photographers who can do your e-pics.
I had mine done with angelica glass, pics in my album, she is great to work with. IF you want go to her site its www.angelicaglass.com, when you go to her page the picture on the main page if you scroll over it each box has a different category go to the one that says e-pics, you can also go to her blog to see all her recent work.

We took our e-pics one month before the wedding. Our photographers include them and recommend taking them so that your photographer knows your best angles, and so on.

I think it's a little of both... I took they because they were included in my package... if they werent I dont know if I woulda taken them. But they were definitly nice to have for the eparty because i had one in a 8X10 frame and the rest i made into a scrap book which i used as a guest book...
