John & I never had any taken. We are getting married in Sept. Now I've been thinking about doing them but not sure if it is worth doing now. Anyone else NOT get them done?

We got ours done late in the process as well. If it is included in your package, I think you should get them taken even if you don't plan to use them. Taking the pictures will help you get comfortable with your photographers style. You will be better prepared for your wedding day if you know how to follow his/her directions better. Also, the photographer will get a sense of working with you... Plus, the pictures will be fun for you to look at even if no one else sees them!

we didn't get any taken! we do have an awesome B&W shot from a cruise we took that shows off my ring - we use that as our 'engagement' photo.

We didn't have an engagement photo either. I have enough pictures with the wedding stuff. Plus- our engagement was only 7 months long- so I really didn't feel the need.

I am also getting married in Sept and we still have not done engagement pics. They were included in our package plus a friend offered to do them as well but I don't think they are necessary. One reason that I want them is because we only have like maybe 4 or 5 good pictures of us together (that is pathetic since we have been together 6 1/2 years)

We didn't get engagement pics-I wanted to but FH didn't-he hates having his pic taken! Just wait till the wedding day!!!

Mine is included in the package with the photographer. It's a good idea because as someone else said, it gives you a trial run to get comfortable with your photographer. You'll also end up with a nice picture to put on your sign-in table!
