Engagement pics

How many of you are doing them?

We weren't going to but then we met with the wedding coordinator and she suggested we do for a bunch of really good reasons... Get comfortable posing in front of the camera, do your makeup trial and see how that makeup photographs, etc.

we're doing two: one with the wedding photographer in the studio, and one with another photographer because i wanted to do them in the city

I definitely think it's a great way to not only get comfortable with posing for a camera, but getting comfortable with your photographer. You get to see his style so you know what to expect on the big day. What if you find out you clash with his/her personality? it gives you an opportunity to possible request a different photographer within the company.

I also think there are so many fun things you can do with the pictures, like STDs, sign in books, and just have a few regular shots to hang on your walls so the whole house isn't hung with wedding pics!

we are doing them on 8/6 and I am getting a makeup trial the same day. It is part of our photo package, but I may have scheduled them anyway if they were a la carte.

I figure they will make great holiday gifts for some of our family, and then they can be useful to decorate our RH on the big day too.

They come with our photo package, thats the only reason why were doing them. Our photographer says they are important so we can get a feel for working with him, and what types of poses look good and which ones don't. I'm pretty excited about doing them though i LOVE my photographer and I think they are going to end up coming out amazing

Epics came with our package, but same deal .. it really gave us a feel for our photographer before the big day. I suggest you do them if for just that one reason alone.

we're doing them for the same reasons you listed- since we're having a winter theme wedding- we're going to summer e-pics...havent scheduled them yet- but it'll most likely be end of summer...it's also good because it gets you comfy with your photographer...& they came included in our package!

We did them and we are sooo happy that we did! It really let us get to know the photographer better and now he knows our best poses and all that!

FH and I are doing two engagement sessions. One while we are in LA and another with our photographer because it is included in our photo package.

Same! I am hoping that when we finally start looking into photographers it comes with the 'package' we like so that he can't say no! lol
