Engagement Pics Session - Tip Photographer?

Good Morning Ladies...we are taking our engagement pics with Patken on Monday - am we supposed to tip the photographer? What if he/she isn't the person that will actually be used for our wedding? We're most likely going to tip - but how much should we tip?

Ive heard a lot of girls do something different on here... anywhere from $10-$50. Whatever you are comfortable with, you can afford and what you feel is right. Trust yourself to make the right call. :)

We tipped him $40. Then again, he was out in the freezing cold with us and took the time to take a lot of pictures. I agree with futuremap. Whatever you are comfortable with

We are sending ours belatedly in a thank you card. It was a friend who was doing it for his up and coming business.

I do recommend tipping though - always welcomed! The amount is completely up to you. As a photographer myself, anything is appreciated, even just kind words!
