I'm getting married in June and I would really like to take our engagement photos at the beach (that's where he proposed) I was wondering if anyone knew if you needed a permit to take photos on the beaches on Long Island? (Long Beach/Jones Beach)Or does anyone have a suggestion for an engagement shoot?
I think one bride had mentioned awhile back that by the lighthouse Robert Moses you do not need apermit for engagement pics but if its pics of the wedding party then you do.
I had our e-pics at Robert Moses - I think field 2 or 3 and we did not need a permit. I would just suggest going at an off time so that there aren't too many people on the beach.
You don't need a permit for Long Beach.
you are suppose to have a permit but we went to captree and took pics there and noone questioned us but when we went back for our wedding it was obvious and we had to show them our permit. I did trash the dress at the beach as well and since it is off season we didnt get questioned either
Went to Robert Moses Field 5 and did not need a permit.
