Engagement Pictures - What to Wear??

Engagement Pictures - What to Wear??

They're going to be in the studio so weather isn't too much of an issue. FH and I have decided we want more casual pics so we're wearing jeans (much more 'us' than all the other formal pics we'll have) and we're bringing Larry David.

So, what do I wear on top? I'm looking for something cute, maybe flirty/sexy? Is that dumb?

Help!!

ETS: We're not bringing THE Larry David, our dog's name is Larry David. Just wanted to clarify

LOL, I was wondering about the Larry David until you clarified it.

My only recommendation would be not to wear something too trendy looking that would 'date' the pictures. Engagement photos are a good reason to go shopping.

I wore a black shirt- and FH wore a button down.. ours were in the studio and you like only see our shoulders-- you'll see more of you- prob cause you'll have your dog with you.. I think a solid color looks best in these portraits.

That's what I was thinking. Should we just go really traditional with long sleeves, v-necks or do you think it's ok for me to get something a little more 'now'?

are you going shopping? The sales are killer right now!

What is the most flattering neckline on you? color? If it were me, I would go with a v-neck blue or purple. Stay away from white or red - i don't know why, but it is what they always told me when i went into studios to get headshots.

hooray! Have fun - you have me thinking about my e-photo attire now (not for another 3 months, but I can dream!)

Have fun!

I agree with Bunny- and get a neckline that is flattering on you.. I really think anything goes- but I would def go the more simple route-- if you want- look at my album- I have one of our e-pics on there.. the pics are like totally of your face- no one will notice anything else- just choose something that flatters you.

I agree with the other ladies, chose a neckline that looks good on you and a color which compliments your tones the best.

Not to hijack your thread, but I'm kind of relieved not all of you had your e-pictures taken yet--I thought I was SOL since i didn't get them done right away! (and FH grew his 'winter beard' which I HATE so NOOOOO pictures until he shaves!) Thanks chicas!

You're probably right. All of these would be out of the question then or no?

I like all of those you posted. I guess they are kinda trendy, but I think you can wear any of them. Where did you find 'em?

banana and nordstrom.com. I'm probably better off looking at the banana ones because i feel like nordstrom.com and nordstrom the store have totally different things and I don't have time to order online.

Thank you!! My face looks kind of puffy in some of them but all in all I'm happy.

I love the first shirt that was posted. SO delicate and pretty.

That's true. You will probably have an easier time finding the online stuff in Banana. When are the pictures? Happy shopping!! Good luck. I hope you find something.

Azad, you MUST stop saying things like this to me because you're putting yourself in danger of me kidnapping you and putting you on my shelf so I can hear this all the time!
