Engagement Present Dilemma

My future MIL keeps asking my FH and I what we want for an engagement present. I defer to him, but he keeps telling her he doesn't know. Here is our problem - what the heck do we say??? They already offered to pay for our rehearsal dinner - whew - and that was more than I expected. I think the last time we all spoke she offered to send money and he told her we could always use that. We could, but I feel like that is kind of callous of us. However, I do not want to ask for something becuase I am not sure if they are talking a bottle of wine or a couch! Any suggestions. Engagement Present Dilemma- Thats what the registery is for

If you are registered you can mention it to her. If she says she was thinking of something different ask what she had in mind. Start communicating with this lady now - you will be speaking with her for long time....
