When do you take your E-pics??? Is it ever too early or too late? We were engaged nov 21, Im super excited and want to take them already- but i kind of want to wait for warmer weather.
Also, about when did you all do an engagement party? I'm guessing you should wait till you have a date first?
I'm so excited, I want to do everything RIGHT NOW!!!!!

you can take them anytime, but i think like 6-4 months before the wedding is a good time so it's recent and you can cooperate the pics into the wedding!

I didnt have an e-party. We just planned a nice dinner at a good restaurant and invited my parents and FH's parents. We are only children (neither me nor FH have brothers or sisters). It worked out well. We had our 'engagment' dinner at Charlie Brown's steakhouse about 2 months after we announced the engagement.
we plan to take our e-pics in April or May 2010.

aww you're so cute! I was and still am I did everything I wanted from the second I got engaged & stopped listening to people the week after I got engaged..haha do it all whenever you want!! xoxox
planning on having the E-Party a year from the wedding or somewhere around there.. and we took our pics in Sept.

We got engaged Oct 07, booked all vendors by summer 08, had engagement party March 09, we took our engagement pictures Oct 09 because our photographer likes to take them about 3 months before the wedding so he knows how you photograph for the wedding better

That is a great question about the e-pics because I was thinking the same thing. But I got engaged November 7th and we are having the engagement party February 27th.

WE were engaged on October 2-- and took our e pics in november-- we were able to print out a bunch and frame them and give them as christmas presents to our parents grandparents aunts and uncles-- it turned out awesome-- when we eventually book our photog we may take another set closer to the wedding-- especially if we choose a different photog-- but the price for our e pics was sooo reasonable!!!!!

i was engaged in the beg. of october and my e-pics are going to be in july/august. And I had my engagement party a couple weeks ago on Dec. 13th

We were engaged on Jan. 20th while on a ski vacation. took some great photos and cnsidered using them. A month later we were on a cruise and the photos on the cruise were used for our official engagement photo. Once we booked our photographer, we had epics with our package...so we took more photos in early November. We were lucky to get nice days for them. If you want to wait for nicer weather... you can aim for April - June, but remember that photographers book up early and most only schedule epics during the week. You may have to take a day off work.

take them whenever your little heart desires! id recommend booking your photographer first bc sometimes it comes with your photography package. we took ours in the summer bc we wanted a beach pic for our save the dates.. but we got engaged in oct and were getting married the next next january. (in 3 weeks!) so it totally doesnt matter- whatever you want to do!
